Re: SCS General Nonsense Thread
If I could be bothered (I can't) I'd list all three+ day gaps from all over the decade. I'm sure I'd find dozens.
It's all a bad sign, I'm sure.

I mean, I can wait… but let’s be honest, summer is flying by and we’re already in July. They still have a whole lineup of stuff that hasn’t seen daylight yet, map DLCs, maybe coaches, maybe Road Trip, maybe whatever else they’ve been teasing. At this pace, I don’t know how they expect to wrap all that up by 2027, but hey… if they say they’ve got it, I’ll just sit here and watch the clock do its thing.

It's early summer. Also it ain't easy to build those. Even the gameplays of PRT and coaches still need alot of work. Rather take months to see a good product then a quick one because "It's summer".

Summer is like the worst time to release anyway.
Also
Aside from two maps scheduled probably at late Q3/Q4, there's nothing officially confirmed to be set to be out this year. Chrismn stream never guaranteed, or even hinted that whatever they show will be released in the next 12 months.

Bro, it’s early summer for them, sure, but we’re literally right in the middle of summer here. Kids and college students are back to school next month, so time isn’t exactly stretching out here. And yeah, it’s not easy to build those features, I get that. PRT and the coaches gameplay still need a lot of work. I’d rather they take months and drop something polished than rush something out just because it’s summer. I’m just stating the obvious: things feel slow, behind schedule, and SD is supposed to be coming soon, right? The calendar is moving whether they keep up or not. They even tell us every year on stream that October through December is their busiest time and they have a ton to release, so acting like everything is perfectly on track right now just feels a little unrealistic.

Yeah, them not releasing a timeline or giving us any release dates really hurts the community. It leaves everyone guessing, and posts like this will always turn into speculation because there’s nothing solid to go off of. So having people jump in just to complain or say “here we go again” is honestly rude. We’re all reacting to the same lack of info. If they actually shared a clear roadmap, half of this back‑and‑forth wouldn’t even happen.

Sooooo they have 3 to 5 months. That's A LOT of time.avers95 wrote: 08 Jul 2026 18:47 They even tell us every year on stream that October through December is their busiest time and they have a ton to release, so acting like everything is perfectly on track right now just feels a little unrealistic.
Getting paranoid ahead of schedule isn't healthy. It's better to do something else in the meantime.

releasing a timeline doesn't help. Because if they miss it, People will complain. (This topic was discussed before too I believe). If your thinking SD will come around August, Try October maybe. Also pretty sure people not in school also play games (people that work or stream) so that statement wouldn't hold much.

Re: SCS General Nonsense Thread
Okay, noted. If we hit the end of that 3 to 5 month window and nothing big drops, I’m absolutely circling back and reminding you I said this.
I’m not pulling this out of thin air either. IL dropped in May, and ETS2 hasn’t had a map DLC since November 27. That’s not normal. Most studios push out something meaningful every three or four months. Sure, we’ve had a few bits of content here and there, but nothing that actually changes the game or gives us something new to accomplish, So if they want to keep the community alive SD will have to be release in August or September

Re: SCS General Nonsense Thread
I mean, if SCS really wanted to speed things up, they could lean on AI to help move the workload faster. But you already know the community would lose its mind just like they did with the HOR situation. I wouldn’t be against AI for times like this, honestly. If it helps them get things out on time and keeps the schedule from slipping, I’m not complaining. The outrage would be louder than the results, though, so they probably won’t touch it.
