@Hetisen can you share your settings for using the mouse for accelerating and braking? Thanks in advanceHetisen wrote: 13 Jun 2026 01:57 I use the mouse for everything – accelerating and braking by moving the mouse forward and backward, and turning by moving the mouse from side to side. It's the best way to control the accelerator and brake. I went years without knowing about the function (including pedals), and when I finally found out, I gave up on buying the steering wheel. I spent too much time just looking at the function (including pedals) and never figured out what it meant. I use the game's photo camera bug to make the mouse turn and speed widget disappear. (Please SCS, don't fix this bug)![]()

Shadows produced by the lights exist since 2013 ( but I think is even older.. i just remember GTA 5), still SCS hasn't figure out that lights do produce shadows.

Re: SCS General Nonsense Thread
I know that making objects like road barriers and poles cast shadows is not an easy task without something like ray tracing. But surely, surely there are some simple solutions that can just cut out the light from a certain source in a certain area completely, that can be applied to cases like these? Let it be not perfect, let other light sources around bleed inside, those won't be as noticeable. But trucks own lights shining through the cabin and trailer bodies, surely there is some crude but not demanding way to fix this?

It existed long decades before raytracing.San_Sany4 wrote: 19 Jul 2026 17:49 I know that making objects like road barriers and poles cast shadows is not an easy task without something like ray tracing.
Dynamic lights may be taxing for GPU but my gods it's like few sets of lights at any given time, mostly shining at few objects at a time. It's not gonna make anyone's PC melt.

The flare with the limited limits, lol. You can set the angle the flares casting the light horizontally, but not vertically.

Re: SCS General Nonsense Thread
It is all part of the same problem, a light source is a light source, the only ones the game knows i can cast a shadow from is the sun and the moon, when they implement a way for all "artificial" light sources to cast a shadow without hitting game performance really hard, then it will be solved.
