Re: SCS General Nonsense Thread
Bullying, you say? Oh, no, you misunderstand. That was the nice version.
I would be thrilled to give you the mean version, with all of the arguments you'd like. But if you're already feeling "bullied" over an "argument" that's halfway agreeing with you, I don't think you actually want those arguments in the first place - you want everyone to quietly smile and agree with you, and anything short of that is tyrannical oppression. It is no wonder that sacrificing real lives to create an automated yes-man sounds may sound alluring.
Unfortunately for me, however, the mean version would probably be considered "politics" - which the moderation staff have already given me several stern warnings about at previous points. How convenient it is that we live in a world where even fighting for one's own existence is demonized! So yes, instead of arguments, you get mild snark. Sorry if even that is unbearable.

Well, being AI or not, slop or not, i really like what people could achieve with those plugins. At least something different to see in the modding community.

Speaking of what the modding community can achieve, someone has made openOMSI: a 64-bit rewrite of OMSI 2. It's a huge performance upgrade on the old game, with better graphics and more features. I'm having a blast, I haven't played it in over 10 years and it's good to be back

Since no one asked...
TMP was made doing the same doing: reverse engineering of the game. There is no new era of modding, because this has been the rule for so long and in other, more restricted games without AI (for ex, Codemaster's/EA modern F1 Series).
What AI is by the end is just a very powerful tool. Some people uses it as a tool and other people are just pure meat proxies that copy/pastes whatever the agent tells them without checking or questioning and trusting 100% what it says (Never trust anything that can think for itself if you can't see where it keeps its brain). And right now, we will have more offer on plugins to add functions that aren't part of the game. The issue is, since those are plugins and those are spaming everywhere, you need to be extra careful about what you install in your device.
I just only hope SCS takes some inspiration from the community, that's all.
My two cents.

Very good summary. Should be painted on the wallGraf_Boinenn wrote: 02 Oct 2026 20:06 What AI is by the end is just a very powerful tool. The Scania is for both games.ScaniaMANIveco wrote: 04 Jan 2026 09:36 Since ATS is getting a Scania 112, I wonder how likely it is for ETS2 to get Kenworth K100. Apparently K100 was sold in Europe, and Swiss company called Frederici used to have quite a lot of K100 in it's fleet back in the day.

Did they confirm this recently? When that post was new the 112 was confirmed to be just for ATS.Krrypton wrote: 02 Oct 2026 21:27The Scania is for both games.ScaniaMANIveco wrote: 04 Jan 2026 09:36 Since ATS is getting a Scania 112, I wonder how likely it is for ETS2 to get Kenworth K100. No source, no trust, no news. Even if it turns out to be true later on.
