People really need to go see other games as well to see how they do their business, SCS simply could release a new game between 2-3 years, almost no new features or improvements and a bunch of DLC's no one cares and call it a day!
Guys, i'm speaking for myself here, i really like how SCS handle both of their games, so far few companies release a product and keep it updated for many years like ETS2 and ATS for free, and so far, their prices are very fair, even for me in a country with a weak currency. But yes, there are problems, most of them was discussed here several times. For me, the things i don't like are:
-So much time to release a new truck, or a reworked one - but this is more related to NDA stuff and agreements with their partners, so there's nothing we can do here;
-Releasing new stuff at all than more focus on rebuild the old stuff - but this is not viable for a company, they need to earn money, there's bills, paychecks and stuff, and it's ok. Consoles now it's a reality, and i don't know if SCS is going to release their games with old stuff like Going East or old models like the Iveco Stralis for consoles.
This is what i remember so far, but i'm not in a position to dislike it so much to complain in unbearable levels. I play this game regularly, and i'm still buying the products at release, specially maps. It's a nice game to relax, enjoy the scenery and see places you've never heard of, and of course, there will be always problems, but nothing that can break my experience.
And thanks to
this post i could undestand more how a NDA works. Things are a lot clearer for me now.
