If something terribly gamebreaking sneaks in (trust me there's always a chance of that happening), they'll only have to do the hot fix for one game, while the other is still safe from it with older public release. Then they can apply the patch with the fix already in place.

Okay I tested if there is difference between medium and high quality reflections and here is the result:

High Reflections Quality:

Medium/Low Reflections Quality:

AO and shadows were set to low, everything else is medium + textures quality is high.

Not surprised even the comparison photos in settings show the same results. Higher setting = more reflections.

Anyone is using capped fps instead in game vsync for better performance? I recently was testing if the game would run quite smoothly with turn on SSAO, since the recent light tweaks made it look better (it isnt than intense in some scenarios like pre 1.60) but the main issue was how it consume fps and mess overall performance. While checking fps limit or vsync I realize that capping your fps to your monitor hz is better. Of course you will be left with screen tearing. But overall game run smoother than with turn on in game vsync. After digging in the internet when you capped your fps your gpu wouldn't run at the maximum state. So when the more demanding area/process came then your gpu have more power to utilize, effeclty minimizing possible fps drop or stutter/lag.

I have 60fps limit and vsync on. No problems since a few updates ago. The games are smooth and stable.

1. Not a lot of stuff added
2. They planned 4 updates for this year
3. They have changed process of betas to made it faster
On the contrary, I think there are still some major additions in this 1.60 update; the radio and the fatigue system must have really shaken up the game between 1.59 and 1.60.

And thanks for the other details ;) So now, with their new schedule, we’ll soon have the four annual updates – we’re already on the third, and there are still six months to go before the end of 2026.

The next beta will therefore be a long way off if we follow their logic of four versions a year.

I’ve also capped my FPS at 60, disabled vertical synchronisation, and set my refresh rate to match my monitor’s, which is 165 Hz – my PC specs are in my signature ;) – and I haven’t had any issues to report; I’ve got SMAA set to ‘Ultra’ and SSAO set to ‘High’.
