[WIP] International Transtar 4370

#1 Post by Smarty » 10 Jun 2025 15:07

This is the next stage of my International flat-glass project. Still not fully sure what the scope for v1.0 is going to be, but expect to be able to make most early-mid 70's configurations (so round headlights and small bunk).

Work so far has mostly been limited to the hood, bumpers, and frame sidemembers. Next steps will be paintjob UV's for the hood, and a deep dive into detailing the chassis.

Looking absolutely wonderful! :D Looking forward to updates on this!

Edit: On a slight sidenote, I would suggest adding "Transtar" to the thread title
so people find it easier – like the 5070's thread also having "Paystar" in its name.

Very cool :)

I'm a bit more into the S series, which is (from my knowledge) the 4370's little brother in a way.
But that's enough for me to follow this project regardless.

This one would definitely be interesting to see as well, when it's ready. 👍

So super pretty!! :D Great to have that headlight variety in there too.
May seem like a minor detail, but they alter the truck's looks quite substantially!

Hi Smarty,

First of all, thanks for keeping updated all your trucks.

Second, I was searching some information about the Transtar CONCO and I found out this gallery: https://www.flickr.com/photos/carhaul/a ... 8253975032

I posted here cuz I see various Transtars in the gallery with different types of Sleeper. Hope It's usefull.

Regards,

@Capitan_JodePartidas Oh wow, that's a real gold mine!! :o Many thanks for sharing that link!
Just had a brief look around, and there are already quite a few trucks on there that I've never seen before.

Maybe a touch off-topic, but a particular one that caught my eye was this custom Fleetstar, shot in 1994.

Its aftermarket bulbous hood is just something else, haha! :D Very unique indeed, I love it.
