but we do not want to draw conclusion from first few reports.

if you are interested. you can try older drivers. but i do not mean just previous one. but an older one.
currently using nvidia web you can easy get back to 2024
where "oldest" driver for 4080 class is
Driver Version:566.14
Release Date:Tue Nov 12, 2024
i would be interested if this could change anything.
and i do not think going back just one or few versions may be enough. so i would save time and pick an older one. (ideally before 5xxx series was released)
Ok so i tried 566.14 and its slightly better but still occasional stutter the only downfall is i cant play any of my up to date games like Doom as they require a newer driver so im at a loss as what to do - please can scs look in to this as im not the only person with a 40 series gpu having these problems

For me it take around 4,5-5gb of ram and around 4-4,5gb of vram. Im playing on 1080p with 300% scaling, TAA, rtx3060 gpu. Whats your resolution and settings look like?
1080p, 400% scaling and everything maxed out except mirror distance that is set on low. I did not have time for proper testing, I just played for 10min and i saw that RAM/VRAM alocation.
I can rule out drivers as I dont have those problems with 1.54 or even with ETS2 EB 1.55, but i will do some extensive tests today.

Ok, so I went back to version 572.22 I think and it seems to have fixed it. I'll do more testing and confirm for sure

over next few days we will monitor situation as more players may have opportunity to test it over upcoming weekend.

small reminder. please post your game log from run where you encountered such frame pacing problems.
its kinda hard to draw any conclusion without data.
im not asking to post game log from every single run. just one per user is fine.

currently we do not register such problems internally. so we are on lookout for more isolated / specific reasons why some players experience such change / problem.

what you can try now.
any mods/plugins? try to disable them.

3rd party overlays. try to disable any 3rd party overlays like discord, rivatuner etc...

game optimized Settings / application performance/gfx profiles. usually provided via gpu driver sw package. try to disable any game specific optimization.

Launch parameters, are you using any launch parameters which tune gfx/engine/memory ? try to remove them.

also try to reset game configuration options. in "Documents" you will find game folder. in here you can rename "config.cfg" so with next game run new with safe/default values will be generated. they you can try to change settings using ingame options to your preference.

One thing that I noticed is that on my main profile with mods in one spot i have 65fps. Then i go back to clean profile that like a few months old and in that same spot i have 71fps. I firstly thought that is due to mods on the other profile or mod load but i put the same mods in the same order also on the second quite new profile and still the fps was higher than on my main profile which i created in late 2023. I wonder if age of profile could also be the case? Since the test shown that my mods in my case and also config restart didnt matter at all.

In term of graphics option. I would recommend setting the reflection scaling to 100% and disabling secondary vehicle lights. With this you can get around 7fps more. Turning down this settings will only influence your graphics quality by small %
