Re: Stuttering 1.55 beta ATS
seems to be a driver issue with 40 series gpu and scs as i have gone back to 566.14 and its a lot better but still occasional stutters - they need to sort this out its not on - plus i dont really want to use an old driver as Doom does not like old drivers

@Dazraz I agree with you on "they need to sort this out"

I set me fps to 65. I can get a solid 65fps when I'm in the cab view. When I'm in third person view, my fps goes from 65 to about 59. Has anyone else have this issue? My GPU is a 4060.

@xxmitchxx90 This thread is not about fps drops. Please discuss somewhere more appropriate like the Open Beta thread on general discussion.

Re: Stuttering 1.55 beta ATS
Getting consistent stutter through certain areas, just as I did in 1.54 but I'd say so far with 1.55 it's actually been worse. The two most heavily affected areas are Yakima and Scottsbluff. In Yakima particularly, it would stutter in 1.54 especially when turning corners. In 1.55 the stutter begins as soon as I enter the city and stays consistent until I leave.
Running older hardware, but all the way through 1.53 I could run a totally smooth 60fps.

I do have a question for anyone who might know better about something. Looking over my log file I can see all the mods I have disabled on the profile I've been testing with. Is it known if just having them installed could cause issues, even if they are disabled from the current profile? I've never been able to get a concrete answer on this. I wouldn't think it's what's causing my stuttering, as that list hasn't really changed at all, and as I mentioned the game ran perfectly smooth all the way until 1.54 was released.

@hoborailcat - Inactive mods, whether optimized or unoptimized, would not affect performance after the profile is loaded. They can only impact the startup time since mod descriptions and images would need to be loaded in for the Mod Manager

Re: Stuttering 1.55 beta ATS
There have been very rare instances of disabled mods crashing a game, but I wouldn’t expect them to cause performance issues.

Ok so im on nvidia driver 566.36 stuttering not as bad as up to date drivers but still getting them - here is my log for AtsTom wrote: ↑19 Jun 2025 11:28 over next few days we will monitor situation as more players may have opportunity to test it over upcoming weekend.
small reminder. please post your game log from run where you encountered such frame pacing problems.
its kinda hard to draw any conclusion without data.
im not asking to post game log from every single run. just one per user is fine.
currently we do not register such problems internally. so we are on lookout for more isolated / specific reasons why some players experience such change / problem.
what you can try now.
any mods/plugins? try to disable them.
3rd party overlays. try to disable any 3rd party overlays like discord, rivatuner etc...
game optimized Settings / application performance/gfx profiles. usually provided via gpu driver sw package. try to disable any game specific optimization.
Launch parameters, are you using any launch parameters which tune gfx/engine/memory ? try to remove them.
also try to reset game configuration options. in "Documents" you will find game folder. in here you can rename "config.cfg" so with next game run new with safe/default values will be generated. they you can try to change settings using ingame options to your preference.
