Blog Summary for the Month of October, 2025

There were 29 total blog posts for October 2025, bringing the yearly total to 198.

I said this at the end of last month:
Maverick89 wrote: October should be another month full of updates, but as always, we'll see for sure come the end of it!
Hoo boy, did SCS blow that out of the water and then some! October 2025 had blog days every day this month except for two! Not to mention that there's been a dev blog post every day since the 13th. 29 posts in a month is also a record, beating October 2023's old record of 26! We're also only 6 posts away from 2024's 204 blogs in the entire year--a mark we're surely going to surpass in November.

There were plenty of map DLC updates, including two gameplay previews (the first one for Louisiana, and the second for Nordic Horizons). We also had the first couple blogs for the upcoming 1.57 Update. On top of that...In ETS2, Project UK Rework was announced, which a lot of people have been waiting for seeing the UK currently contains some of the oldest map sectors in the game. SCS also gave us a few surprises--the biggest one (in my opinion) being the announcement of the British Columbia DLC for ATS, meaning that game will start to step outside the United States for the very first time! The Isle of Ireland was announced for ETS2, which, when released, will finally complete the British Isles by adding both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland--something that should fit in very well with the afore-mentioned UK Rework.

So at last count, here are the map expansion DLCs currently being worked on:

ATS: Louisiana, Illinois, South Dakota, and British Columbia.
ETS2: Nordic Horizons, Iceland, and Isle of Ireland.

October also saw the release of a new cargo pack DLC for both games in the KRONE Agriculture Equipment DLC, and ETS2 got a new truck in the DAF XF Electric.

I doubt if we'll reach 29 again next month, but here's to November being chock full of even more truck sim goodies!

Missed something from October? Click here to see everything that was posted!

Also, a question: For the monthly blog wrap-ups, would you all want them in a separate forum post? Or would you rather I keep it this way and tack it on to the weekly post? The separate post means that I could post it on the end of the month, even if it's not a Sunday. Let me know here!

Blog Summary for the Week of October 27-November 2, 2025

For the third week in a row, we got a blog post every day!

The British Columbia DLC was officially announced even though the Steam page became available on Sunday. We also recieved a second gameplay preview of the upcoming Nordic Horizons DLC, showcasing the Vesterålen and Lofoten archipelagos in Norway, in a drive from Andenes to Svolvær. Other map DLC news included Louisiana (about custom Depots) and South Dakota (Guess Where We Are?). We also got two blogs about upcoming features in Update 1.57, including reworked player company logos and paintjobs, and new Special Transports in ETS2 (could we perhaps subtitle that blog post...BIG in Nordic Horizons?!) The week ended with an SCS on the Road post about the recent DAF XF Electric truck.

Monday (27th): Introducing British Columbia
Tuesday (28th): Louisiana: Custom Depots #2
Wednesday (29th): Nordic Horizons: Gameplay Preview #2
Thursday (30th): South Dakota: Guess Where We Are
Friday (31st): 1.57 Update: Reworked Players Company Logos and Paintjobs
Saturday (1st): 1.57 Update: Special Transport DLC Update [for ETS2]
Sunday (2nd): SCS on the Road - DAF XF Electric Walk Around

Next post: Sunday, November 9th.

As always, please let me know if I missed something!

#27 Post by Maverick89 » 09 Nov 2025 17:40

Blog Summary for the Week of November 3-November 9, 2025

There were 6 new blog posts this week.

This week was all about Update 1.57!

The historical streak of blog posts ended this Monday, at 21, though the next day we got some super news for ETS2, with an update to the Scania R and S announced for 1.57! Thursday and Friday marked the beginning of the 1.57 Open Beta for ETS2 and ATS respectively. ETS2's update brings the Scandinavia refresh, the aforementioned updates to the Scania R & S, Dynamic (un)loading, and more. Nordic Horizons compatibility is all but confirmed for this update too with the maps being able to scroll much further north than before and the presence of a few NH cities in sectors that also contain Scandinavia DLC cities. ATS brings Louisiana compatibility (as it's now greyed in on the map) and some infrastructure additions to certain gas stations in preparation for the upcoming Road Trip DLC, and more.

Even the map DLC blog posts this week were 1.57-centric, with only Louisiana and Nordic Horizons getting posts.

Lastly....it's now worth noting that this week, we've surpassed 2024's total blog count of 204, as 2025's yearly blog total now stands at 206!

Monday (3rd): No blog post
Tuesday (4th): ETS2 1.57: Scania R & S Trucks Update
Wednesday (5th): SCS on the Road: KRONE BIG X 1180 Walk-Around
Thursday (6th): Euro Truck Simulator 2: 1.57 Update Open Beta
Friday (7th): American Truck Simulator: 1.57 Update Open Beta
Saturday (8th): Louisiana: New Orleans & Baton Rouge
Sunday (9th): Nordic Horizons: Landmarks

Next post: Sunday, November 16th.

As always, please let me know if I missed something!

Blog Summary for the Week of November 17-23, 2025

There were 6 new blog posts this week.

It's going to be a very busy next two weeks....the Louisiana DLC releases on December 4, exactly one week after Nordic Horizons, and also making it the very first ATS DLC to be released in the month of December. (Also this means that there's likely going to be three WoT events going on at once with the Christmas Event right around the corner!)

We also recieved the Halloween event summary blog, where it was revealed that the community delivered around 2.4 million deliveries, which easily surpassed the community goal.

1.57 released officially for both games this week--ATS on Tuesday, and ETS2 on Thursday. We got what could be the final Nordic Horizons blog (not including the WoT Event announcement) on Saturday before its release next Thursday, which spotlighted Trondheim, Norway, and the new Special Transport routes--of which there are five of them.

Finally, we got a (long-awaited) post about the upcoming Coaches DLC, which talks about a new game mechanic: passenger satisfaction! Not only that, there was a little behind the scenes with the game's development. A great blog overall!

Monday (17th): No blog post
Tuesday (18th): American Truck Simulator: 1.57 Update Release
Wednesday (19th): Witches of Brackenreach Conclusion
Thursday (20th): Euro Truck Simulator 2: 1.57 Update Release
Friday (21st): Louisiana Release Date + Video Trailer Reveal
Saturday (22nd): Nordic Horizons: Trondheim + BIG in Nordic Horizons
Sunday (23rd): Coaches: Passenger Satisfaction

Next post: Sunday, November 30th OR Monday, December 1st. Please note that this will also apply to the November monthly recap.

Thanksgiving here in the US is on the 27th (AKA Nordic Horizons Release Day). I will be out of town then, leaving on the 26th and returning on the 30th.

As always, please let me know if I missed something!

#30 Post by Maverick89 » 01 Dec 2025 13:59

Blog Summary for the Month of November, 2025

There were 25 total blog posts for November 2025, bringing the yearly total to 223.

Not quite the 29 we saw in October, but pretty close!

November was chock-full of content, much like October and September were.

Both games received their fourth and final major update for the year in version 1.57.

In ETS2, this brought with it the first bit of dynamic loading, the Scania Super and Smart Dash, adjustable trailer suspensions, a Krone Trailer pack update, a refreshed Scandinavia DLC, Nordic Horizons compatibility, new AI traffic truck variants, and new Special Transport routes. In ATS, the update was significantly lighter when compared to its European counterpart, with some mostly under-the-hood updates ahead of the upcoming Road Trip DLC and Louisiana DLC compatibility. Visible changes included those to existing gas stations. Both games received HDR support, reworked player company logos and paint jobs, and cursor navigation improvements.

In ETS2, Nordic Horizons released on November 27, which added the rest of Norway, Sweden, and Finland. We also got a release date for Louisiana, which will be exactly one week after NH, on December 4.

Lastly, we've crushed 2024's yearly total of blog posts, with one more month to go for the year!
