Blog Summary for the Week of November 24-30, 2025

There were 5 new blog posts this week.

Hands down, the biggest news this week was the long-awaited release of the Nordic Horizons map expansion DLC, which came with a surprise: ETS2 got its version of the Forestry Machinery Cargo Pack to come along with it! Nordic Horizons contains the central and northern parts of Norway, Sweden, and Finland with 41 new deliverable cities. The NH area covers the most of any DLC so far.

Of course, with any map expansion DLC comes its respective World of Trucks event: Cruising Nordic Horizons also began on Thursday, and lasts until February 1 next year. The event is pretty simple: Deliver to or from 6 different cities in each country (Norway, Sweden, and Finland) for a grand total of 18. The community goal is 300M km combined distance driving, and a special reward is given to those who deliver to or from Narvik, Norway.

We also got DLC blog posts for Louisiana (which will likely be the final one before its release this coming Thursday) and a Road Trip post spotlighting the Ford Crown Victoria.

The final blog for November 2025 wrapped up an SCS Fan Day Experience which happened on November 14.

There were 5 new blog posts this week.

The "double-release" has completed, with Nordic Horizons out last week, and Louisiana out this week!

We also recieved posts about the Route 66 Rework and the Illinois DLC, as well as a recap of PGA (the game expo in Poland, not the golf organization ) from back in October. Otherwise, a bit of a quiet week, which is to be expected as we're full steam ahead toward the winter holidays.

Overall a pretty light news week, but it's to be expected going into the holidays.

There wasn't much news in the map DLC department, though there was an interview with one of the team members of the one working on the South Dakota DLC. We did get a bit of news about Luxembourg City, which will be reworked with Project Benelux. Other than that, there were two community spotlight blog posts.

Apologies for this being late! This actually slipped my mind this weekend...

There were 3 new blog posts this week.

An Illinois and a behind-the-scenes post about Coaches were the only DLC news we got this week. With the holidays behind us, DLC-related posts should begin picking up again.

We also got a nice year in review for 2025! While I'm still working on the December wrap-up, here's some numbers and significant announcements:

- 2025 had 238 blogs in total...more than any year prior!
- ATS saw 3 new states release for the first time--Missouri, Iowa, and Louisiana--as well as the announcement of the first Canadian province, British Columbia. Louisiana also meant that ATS has cross the Mississippi River for the very first time.
- ETS2's map expansion was Nordic Horizons, which featured the continuation of Finland, Norway, and Sweden, with the announcement of Iceland to top off the Nordic region. On top of this, we got confirmation of the (long-awaited) United Kingdom rework, as well as the announcement of the Isle of Ireland DLC.
- We also saw the announcement of two non-truck related DLCs--Coaches for ETS2, and Road Trip for ATS.

Blog Summary for January 19-25, 2026

There were 5 new blog posts this week.

1.58 news? Already?!

Better believe it. We had not one, not two, but three posts about the next version update for both games, and it’s looking like it’s going to be a big one. Both games will receive a new module in the Driving Academy for doubles, and each game will have their own challenges with such. ATS will receive new garages with 1.58, and it was said in that blog post that ETS2 will get them at a later date. Lastly, 1.58 will have physics and collisions redone in both games to improve realism.

In terms of map DLC, we got blog posts on another city in Illinois—Effingham—and the Meet the Team blog post for British Columbia.

Blog Summary for January 26-February 1, 2026

There were 4 new blog posts this week.

1.58 arrived quickly! The Open Beta is now live for both games--ATS on Tuesday, and ETS2 on Thursday.

1.58 brings with it several changes, most noticeably with the UI and UX. The Update brings with it a new module for the Driving Academy that focuses on Double Trailer Handling. ATS will be recieving brand new player garages (ETS2 will get them at a later date), and both games will be recieving an upgrade to its physics engines.

In DLC news, we got a Meet the Team blog for Road Trip.

Blog Summary for the Month of December, 2025 and January, 2026

There were 15 total blog posts for December 2025, bringing 2025's final yearly total to 238!

There were 17 total blog posts for January 2026, bringing 2026's yearly total to...17.

When it comes to SCS blog posts, 2025 stands alone, having the most of any year prior. Honestly, it was a good year for both games, with ATS getting 3 new states in Missouri, Iowa, and Louisiana, and ETS2 recieving the continuation of Norway, Sweden, and Finland in the Nordic Horizons DLC.

The annual winter event started on December 15, and ran through January 11.

What shocked me was how quickly 1.58 came, seeing 1.57 was released just at the end of November. Regardless, 1.58 will be chock full of updates and tuning for both games--I cover this in the last weekly summary.
