Blog Summary for June 22-July 5, 2026

First of, I'm very, very sorry for the delay! I had some things in real life that I had to take care of (nothing bad happened if you're curious...but it could be potentially good) so this had to be put on the backburner. So here's a two-for-one, covering the last couple weeks.

There were 9 new blog posts over the past couple weeks.

We finally got gameplay previews for both Road Trip and Coaches. Road Trip came first on June 26th, and Coaches today (Sunday the 5th). I feel the Coaches one was a bit more flushed out as we saw the passenger satisfaction mechanic spotlighted too. Plus...a remix of the theme from Bus Driver?! That was a nice surprise!

1.61 also released....I know, we just got 1.60 not even a month ago, but this is an experimental beta! I'm actually glad SCS is doing this because they can get a lot of feedback from the community as 1.61 is developed and eventually released onto the stable channel.

ETS2 got a new DLC at the end of June in the Holland Style Tuning Pack.

In terms of map expansion DLCs and reworks, British Columbia got the first of what I consider "content" blogposts as it spotlighted seven cities in the Canadian Province. Isle of Ireland also got a content blogpost, talking about the N59 road and Connemara Loop. South Dakota got a blog post spotlighting the state's Badlands National Park. Finally, the UK Rework got a content blogpost on Inverness.

Once again, real life got in the way…as well as other games, so truck sim got put on the back burner.

I’m planning on doing one big post in a couple weeks, covering the rest of July and the first few days in August!

Hard to believe it's been almost one full year since I started posting and tracking these. It's been quite the ride!

As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, I'm going to have this be one megapost, covering all the weeks that I missed in July, the first couple days in August, and the monthly recap for June (which I completely forgot about doing, frankly!) and July.

There were 24 total blogs in June and 18 in July, bringing the total for 2026 so far to 139 as of July 31.

The past two months have been quite eventful, even if July was a quiet month as it usually is.

June now has the most blogs on the year with 24, and July's total of 18 ended up being the second-least amount so far (January still has the least, at 17). Again, with summer vacation (or in the case of January, just coming off the winter holidays), it's almost to be expected that July's a quiet month.

Coaches and Road Trip both got gameplay previews (with the latter recieving two so far), and every map expansion got at least one blog. The next two states were announced in ATS. Indiana was announced in early June, and we got a teaser of the next state, which was announced today. The video...showed the World's Largest Catfish, aka "Whapper", located in Wahpeton, North Dakota!

The Nevada rework was officially announced in mid-July, which will bring some much-needed (and much requested) improvements to the Silver State. That should make the drive down I-80 from San Francisco to Chicago much, much better.

Version 1.60 of ATS and ETS2 released in mid-June, not even a month after 1.59 released for both games...and then the experimental beta for 1.61 was released only a week later. SCS has stated the experimental beta was released so soon to get feedback from the community.
