Starting a career as a truck driver in America can be a daunting task. Starting one as an Owner-Operator? Even more so.

I started Euble Enterprise (which began in Europe as "Euble Transport") with the goal of being an international driver--running a company in both the Americas and in Europe. So far, the venture in Europe is going well--I've got my garage in Spain currently, though a move to regions north is planned. Here in America, I purchased an old garage in Little Rock for now, just off I-40 north of the city. Like in Europe, this may only be temporary, as I'm planning a move from there to a semi-permanent home south in New Orleans.

...Ah, but back to the story. Much like in Europe, my American Owner-Operator career started as a company driver, delivering...well, what ended up being nationwide! It started out regional, making deliveries in Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, and Kansas. Then, that turned into going as far west as Colorado. My last few company jobs were on the west coast, running up and down the I-5 corridor, even doing a Special Transport out of The Dalles to Salem in Oregon!

I got a good deal on an old International 9900i afterward. It had, oh, right around 853,000 miles on it--a far cry from the nearly 2 million kilometers the AE had in Europe. I was also lucky enough to get one with a sleeper, meaning I could take long hauls...if I could afford the fuel money. At any rate, things are looking up!

As with ETS2, I started a realistic/hard-economy profile in ATS! It took quite a bit longer in ATS to get my first truck which explains why it took long for me to get this one up too. Much like the ETS2 one, I'm hoping to be on this profile for a long time, and I'm also going to try to stretch my narrative muscles with this one once again. Unlike the ETS2 one, I don't have many map mods in this one, though there are some older truck mods on the profile.

My first two routes are in the books.

After buying my first truck, I leased on with Venture, a logistics company that operates all around the country, and Rock Port, which operates on the country's major rivers. The first route took me from Little Rock south to El Dorado, and then north to Jonesboro and Joplin, Missouri, and then finishing back in Jonesboro. The second route, which was more of a return route, began where I left off, and took me down to Longview in Texas, back to El Dorado, and then Pine Bluff to pick up a transformer to take to the power plant that they're building in London, a little ways west of Little Rock.


After the second route, though...The old 9900i was beginning to show her age. Some work needed to be done, including a full replacement of the transmission which was already on its way out when I bought the truck. On top of that, was some repairs to some small dings and scratches. All in all, it as about $2k, which already took a big chunk from my earnings on both. It wasn't all too bad, though as I was able to pay down a part of the loan I had to take out to buy the truck!

I'm already getting my next route ready, and I'm planning on staying generally local until I can build up the bank enough once again....

Going to try to post in this thread a bit more often. While the whole journaling/RP idea was great on paper, it's a lot of work, and then there's times where there's nothing to really discuss. Not to mention the pauses due to mods needing updating.

So I think going forward, I'll make it more of a scrapbook style, and do journaling when I can!

I've started the Cruising Louisiana event...my first haul took me from my now-former HQ in Little Rock down to Nachitoches. Using the Freightliner Cascadia for this event!

...Dropping off some diesel there, I picked up my next load--an auger wagon that was to be taken down the Mississippi, starting at the port at Baton Rouge. Hoo boy....that is a very large complex.

After dropping that off, I went further east to my new HQ in New Orleans (which will also become so in my main/storytelling profile--this one for the event is solely for WoT Events), took a job from there and went back west to deliver some empty pallets to Lake Charles, before finally stopping to taste the Tabasco Jalapeño Sauce at Avery Island!

With 1.59 released and some of the mods I use updated...I'm starting afresh again.

This one I'm hoping to make long-term, so through several map expansion DLCs, etc.

Leaving my comfy home in Shreveport to head to....

First load was to the Enterpriser in East St. Louis. After making the delivery, they were nice enough to let me rest in the parking lot for the night.

The next morning they had my second haul ready...this time taking some chilled milk from the Enterpriser warehouse to the Shop Town in Peoria.

Checking out the new Antlion factory in Peoria! Sadly, no loads within Illinois, but they were nice enough to offer a job hauling some empty pallets just across the border, to Cape Girardeau.

I ended up getting caught in a Missouri spring thunderstorm as I got closer to Cape, and it wouldn't even let up while I did my delivery and post-trip checks. Needless to say I am SOAKED. My clock was almost up anyways, so I pulled into the closest truck stop to rest for the day.
