Is anyone else having issues with YouTube embeds? For a while now, all of my embeds look something like this:
Watch video on YouTube
Error 153
Video player configuration error
Clicking "Watch video on YouTube" does what's on the tin, and opens YouTube to watch the video.
I'm not sure if it's something Google did or if there's an issue with posting in the forum, but I figure I'd share here just to see if anyone else is having this issue.

Re: YouTube Video Embedding Issues
Info on google site: (this issue can happend on any site, with scs forum for example)
Our Terms of Service require embedders to provide a HTTP Referer. If this information is missing, viewers attempting to watch embedded YouTube videos will encounter blocked playback and an error screen (“error 153”). These viewers will still be able to click “Watch on YouTube” to view the video on YouTube. Note that directly accessing the embedded player without an enclosing webpage or context (such as accessing it from your web browser's address bar) will typically not have a HTTP Referer and users will encounter the error screen; the embedded player is only intended to be used within an embedded context.
Embedders who want to fix blocked playback can provide a HTTP Referer to their requests to YouTube. See the developer documentation for technical details.

Re: YouTube Video Embedding Issues
So only people who works on the scs forum could fix it, by updating thier bbcode to include correct iframe

Re: YouTube Video Embedding Issues
Yes, since last week YouTube has made some changes with embedding, the correct referrer header is now missing in SCS forum BBcode
Ask your chatGPT or CoPilot or whatever, they know what 's causing this
@SCS
* SCS needs to update to newest version of phpBB or the YouTube-BBCode plugin.
new modern embed code should like :
<iframe src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/VIDEO_ID"
referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin"
allowfullscreen></iframe>
* Or switch to the official YouTube IFrame Player API
* check if there's a new CSP blocking youtube.com
