Unable to synchronize

#1 Post by Deebobber » 26 Jan 2026 23:06

As above really, at the port in Bilbao, wanting to get the ferry to Plymouth and whenever I hit depart I get the error of "Unable to synchronize current position, restoring to last known position".
Anyone had this issue and know of a fix or a cause for this issue?

Most common cause is the use of map mods. WOT is setup with the SCS maps only.
If a map mod moves a port or delivery area even by a small amount, you will get that synchronise error.

I was just about to comment that I've got ProMods installed (10/10 to whoever added the feature of review post). I'm guessing that's what's causing the issue.. Do I drive all the way through France instead... Ugh I'd rather not

Some parts of Promods work with WOT others don't. Its trail and error if you want to use them together.

Note that you won't find out that a delivery point won't work until you get there, so you have the risk of doing a 2,000 km trip and then having to abandon the job when you get there.

Oh boy I hope the depot in Cambridge I'm headed too is okay... Otherwise this Scania is going to become the size of a Saab
