When I click on the game via Steam, the game opens, but a very small window pops up in the upper left corner for a few seconds, and then the game closes. This happens in both ATS and ETS2. I've verified the integrity of the game, uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics card driver, and I'm not using any antivirus software on my computer. I can't figure out what the problem could be. I would be very grateful for your help.
I've attached the game.crash and game log files, but the game.crash file isn't updating itself. The last time I logged into the game was on January 27, 2026, and I have the log from that time.

Re: ATS Crashing When Opening
With the crash log not being updated, it means that something else is crashing or forcing the game to close.
To be certain, delete the crash file. If the game crashes, it will create a new one.
Anti-virus programs can do this.
And if it's not that you'll need to look in the windows event log to see what's happening as it's not a game issue.

Re: ATS Crashing When Opening
Hi,I've encountered the same problem as you,and i found the reason and solution.
If you also use Nvidia GPU , it's caused by the newest Windows11 update (KB5074109).
To solve the problem,go to windows update, find update history ->uninstall updates, and uninstall the quality updates KB5074109.
After restart computer (the update may during a long time) ,the problem will be solved.
Hope it's helpful to you.

Re: ATS Crashing When Opening
If it really was the windows update, don't you think we'd be seeing hundreds of users complaining that their game no longer works?
And a quick look online shows that users having issues with the update have much bigger issues than a game crashing on launch.
That said, given the update has issues, if you have it, it might be worth reverting.

Thanks for mentioning this. Would never have thought that a misdoing at MS's end would cause this rather fragile game to misbehave yet again. Didn't make sense for it to crash with like one or two mods active at most.vaxda wrote: 07 Feb 2026 10:04 Hi,I've encountered the same problem as you,and i found the reason and solution.

Re: ATS Crashing When Opening
I had a similar issue a few months ago.
There is a problem with NVidia graphics drivers (not necessarily a wider issue with a Windows Update, just the graphic drivers).
Changing the following values from “1” to “0” fixed it for me. (the settings relate to ATS and ETS2 changing the colour of PC case lights according to in-game events - it’s poorly implemented imho and never works properly for me, so no loss).
uset cf_asus_aura "0"
uset cf_razer_chroma "0"
uset g_color_feedback "0"

You were right. I kept running into this problem until I went into the config file and adjusted those settings, which finally solved the issue. Thanks for the tip.NigeUK wrote: 22 Feb 2026 10:45 I had a similar issue a few months ago.
