ETS2 1.58 and custom steam input layout

I have been using a custom steam input layout with my XBox Controller, since last year.

Starting with today update of ETS2, my input layout has been reset to the SCS provided one, and I can't apply my custom layout.

Any help on how I can use my own layout for the controller ?

OS: Windows 10
Controller: XBox Elite 2, used as a steam input

You have to set it up again from the scratch.
It is possible tho.
I also use an Xbox controller and I havent noticed any issues with seeting it up.

Yes, that's what I did in the end.

But it's a pain, it's the second time an update breaks the controller configuration.

Try this

If your old controller config still exist but cannot switch to your old controller config. Simply go to C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Steam Controller Configs/{Your Steam ID}/config/227300/ and find your old controller config. And change major_revision from 3 to 4. And now you can apply your old controller config

If your old controller config is overriden. Go to Steam cloud saves. And download your Steam controller config. And paste vdf file to C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Steam Controller Configs/{Your Steam ID}/config/227300/. And change major_revision to 4.



You may still have to configure some of action if you use this method
