Update version 1.58.1.4 applied gauge animation smoothing to digital gauges and HUD, so now all trucks exhibit same behavior such as when releasing the clutch the tachometer needle moves too slowly to target RPM. I have updated my bug report on gauges with respect to this update.

Taking this as intent keeps this feature request alive.

That's so disappointing that SCS is going in this direction. Have they never driven a manual vehicle?? It's really disgusting how all the trucks shift now. When you told me the digital dash trucks still had quick shifting, I started a new delivery and was enjoying that, and now they broke that too.
