Impressions of North America

#1 Post by krigl » 28 Feb 2026 16:19

Hi there,

being one of those people who likes to take screenshots wherever they go in the trucksim worlds of SCS, I thought I might try posting screenshots in here. My thing in particular is scenery, specifically making 'portraits' of entire states (or countries in ETS2).

I have found that the images I'm posting, hosted on PostImages, are not loading because there are too many in each post. I am therefore dividing up my stuff into more posts so that there aren't too many on one page of the thread, so that everything loads nicely and people can view the thread as a gallery rather than a collection of icons and a few stripes of slowly loading screenshots.

Right now in ATS I've been touring Missouri. Here's the first set from Part I of a three part tour of the state. Part 1 covers the tree-encrusted south-eastern third of the state, which is home to the massive Mark Twain National Forest. Hope someone likes them :)

Back again with the first section of IMPRESSIONS OF MISSOURI Part II. This time, the south-west to middle region in a triangle between the points of Joplin, St Louis and Kansas City. The area is not quite as forested as the south-east corner, which is heavily dominated by the Mark Twain National Forest. It offers a bit more variety, with some nice farmland and stretches of open countryside.

The first trip took us from St Louis straight west across the centre of the state to a quarry by the capital, Jefferson City.

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

[ external image ]
Passing under Jefferson City’s fine-looking bridge.

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

[ external image ]
One Crawler Carrier delivered.

The next bunch features some splendiferous views of the Lake of the Ozarks nearby JC, and the city itself.

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

[ external image ]
That will have to be enough for now. Cheers! Krigl
