For the third trip we dragged an entire Heavy Bulldozer from JC directly west to spectacular Kansas City via Sedalia.

Now it’s time to head back across the centre of the state in the opposite direction, from Kansas City to Columbia, which lies roughly a little north of Jefferson City.

This time we checked out the humbler sights of Columbia before finishing the return trip across the centre of the state to St Louis.

Our penultimate trip took us on a very scenic route from Springfield up to the SubTropolis underground storage in Kansas City.

The last trip saw us ‘completing the vertical stretch of the triangle’ by driving from Kansas City directly south down to Joplin.

Lovely countryside, impressive and pretty cities – it’s been an enjoyable tour. The last part, from the north of Missouri, will come soon, I hope.

It’s time to finish off the Missouri tour with IMPRESSIONS OF MISSOURI III, this time covering the top 40% of the state.

Started out at GM north of St Louis, destination Kirksville.

The route took us parallel to the state line with Illinois and through the town of Hannibal.

The north of the state is close to Iowa, which is famous for its agriculture. I expected it to be a little less tree-caked and claustrophobic, and it does seem that way.

Next we took live cattle from Kirksville back southwards to Columbia.
