SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

Always nice to see other people's take on navigation through external means.
I actually tried to use this once not long ago, but I couldn't for one small, tiny little reason. I primarily run Linux now, but I also run the Windows build of ATS / ETS2 through Proton. I saw you got inspiration from TruckerMudgeon on his navigator client which is what I'm using currently (and I still need to finish that rewrite actually, got busy of course with other things..), so I figured, let me try doing what I do with his for this client. It... didn't go well. I think part of the reason is because it's an installer and I've had mixed results with that on Linux. Basically what I do is just run TruckerMudgeon's app through the same Proton prefix as whichever game I'm running. For example, ATS. (I have a weird problem with ETS2 for some reason that I need to figure out...) I can run his through the same prefix as ATS without a problem and is the only way the client will see with both being the Windows build. Since Proton basically does a small sandbox of Windows, so outside applications can't communicate with it.
I don't recall if the program was able to at least start though, been a little bit and I can't test it again at the moment because I've been spending the few days tackling a stupid issue with Windows messing with one of my hard drives when it's not suppose to. I want to say that it was able to start at least, but it couldn't communicate with the game's telemetry. When I get some extra time and I get some data moved around to format these drives and make them Linux partitions, I'll see if I can't do some more testing with it.
