Temporary Forum Availability Issues

#1 Post by Grisp » 18 May 2026 14:45

Earlier today the forum experienced significant performance issues which caused very slow page loading and occasional 502/504 errors for several hours. During that time, normal use of the forum may have been difficult or temporarily unavailable for some users.

The issue has been identified, and additional protections and improvements have now been put in place to improve forum stability and help reduce the chance of similar issues happening again in the future.
There is currently no indication of any security breach, account compromise, or data leak, and user accounts remain safe.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I had this issue for a few minutes ago so i have no clue what was going on... It looks like a DDOS issue or something that looks like that. It was not responsive.

It was still not exactly working a few minutes ago. And barely works now.

We managed to mitigate the original source of the issue, but it looks like there may now be another cause contributing to the instability, so we are still actively looking into it and working on it.

Sorry again for the ongoing issues and thanks a lot for your patience everyone.

As part of ongoing mitigation efforts, temporary restrictions for guest access have been introduced in order to stabilize the forum and reduce the impact of the current overload situation.
At the moment, the forum should remain fully accessible for logged-in users.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding while we continue working on the situation.

Huge thanks to @Komat for fighting with this mess for hours today 🙏

Pretty much. I opened the forum in private window and the only thing you can do is log in.

This will affect many more people, with many users just go to forum to download a mod, without an account. I think an info should be put to make aware why they now need account if the problems will persist for longer

At the moment, temporarily restricting forum access for non-logged-in users is unfortunately the most effective way for us to keep the forum stable and usable for the community.
At the same time, we are actively working on a more comprehensive long-term solution to the overload situation, as well as on making information about the temporary restrictions properly visible to visitors who are not logged in.
Our goal is to restore normal public access to the forum as soon as possible without requiring users to log in.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding while we continue working on the situation.
