How are fast travel points determined?

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.

How are fast travel points determined?

I know that fast travel priority is services first, then Truckdealers. But these fast travel seem to happen randomly. Do we have no chance to choose the travel points ourselves? There are services both inside and outside the city. The service outside the city has no city assigned to it. But fast travel still sends me to the one outside the city.

How can this be fixed?
