Schmitz Trailer Problems. [Solved]

#1 Post by fabbromix » 24 May 2026 16:52

Hello Community, after making some changes to a Schmitz trailer, I can no longer see the warning triangle on the back; no changes were made to it (see screenshot).
I also tried extracting the clip from another trailer, but nothing happened; the same problem isn't displayed in the game.
The DDS, MAT, and TOBJ files are correct.
Can you suggest a solution?

Make sure that the warning triangles are assigned correctly in the Object Properties.

For example click a part of the trailer and it'll say "trailer_base" in the SCS Parts list, make sure the triangles are assigned to a particular part.

As an example on my end:

Which version of Blender Tools are you using?
If you are using the SCS Blender Tools, this one doesn't have full support of the flavors used by the "retroreflective" shader, namely the "piko.alldir" flavor is not supported properly.
If this is the case, switch to the unofficial update of Blender Tools that is managed by Michaleczeq which does have support for that flavor of the "retroreflective" shader and support of many other shaders that SCS has added since they last updated their Blender Tools addon.

@Digital X : Thanks for your reply, from what I see everything should be fine...but they don't work.

@KrysEmlyn : The version I'm using is V2.4, As soon as I can I'll try using the one you're recommending.
Thanks it worked by changing the Blender tools.

Sorry, I only just noticed that the trailer, having been purchased in Italy, has German license plates. Is it possible to have it appear with Italian license plates?

When you bought the trailer in Italy, did you send it to a garage in Germany?
The ownable trailers use the license plate of the garage they are associated with regardless of where you bought them.

Thanks, puzzle solved, I didn't know that if you moved it, the license plate would change.

It works that way on your truck also when you are on a profile that is not connected to a World of Trucks account.
