Version 1.4.0 is live (see Changelog).
Mods packed the modern 1.48 way (base/ and DLC folders) are now fully checked
for conflicts - not just their def/ root. Conflict markers gained a third,
quiet tier: files shared by many mods (like physics.sii or climate) now show a
neutral grey "frequently shared" hint instead of being hidden or alarming you.
And on Windows the auto-update now swaps itself and restarts on its own.
Big THANK YOU to @LLBBC (#42/#43/#47) - your reports drove all three.

SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

Thanks for the update!BeckysFootSlave wrote: 08 Jun 2026 14:45 Version 1.3.5 is out (see Changelog).
Maximising the window now fills the extra width with more columns instead of an
empty strip - same card size, just more cards. Thanks @00player00 (#40).

Re: [REL] [WIP] Easy SCSModManager (ESCSMM)
Thank you for the answer.
The mp_mod_optional indicator is already a big help.
Regarding the server_package files.
Makes sense when you say it like that. It probably has to know the map data since that is included in it I assume.
I actually never looked into the files because I could not really figure out how to open them, I only invested a bit of time in it.
I included two examples. One for a ATS ProMods Setup and one for a ETS2 RPM Setup.
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing
I could not upload them as attachments since .dat and .zip are not allowed so I put them on google drive.

Re: [REL] [WIP] Easy SCSModManager (ESCSMM)
1.ย In version 1.6.0, cover images for all local mods cannot be displayed in the tool.
โ
2.ย As for the auto-update feature, it shows no improvements for me. The new version does not redirect or replace files automatically. Could this be a problem on my side? I have tried modifying the file path, switching networks and disabling the firewall, but none of these methods worked.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

No, not a fault on your side I think.LLBBC wrote: 09 Jun 2026 19:21 1.ย In version 1.6.0, cover images for all local mods cannot be displayed in the tool.

Fault on version.
Problem is that I don't have 1.60 set because I am in a clinic (psych, depression), I'm coding the app from here to "forget"
I'm connected to my PC, but...
Does it work if you use 1.59 again?
Sadly it will take some time for me to get back home and switch to 1.60 and get the app fixed or working with 1.60.

Sorry, I meant to write 1.4.0 but mistakenly typed 1.6.0. This refers to the tool version, not the game version.

Nevermind, I found the bug and fix it now, then release 1.4.1

Re: [REL] [WIP] Easy SCSModManager (ESCSMM)
Version 1.4.1 is live (see Changelog).
Two fixes from @LLBBC's reports:
- Local mod cover images that vanished after a rescan now show again - the icon
is no longer tied to the owned-DLC cache check it never depended on.
- Windows auto-update now survives non-ASCII install paths, retries the swap if
the file is briefly locked, and restores the old build if the swap fails - so a
failed update can never leave you without a working exe. It also writes a log to
%TEMP%\escsmm_update.log if you ever need to check what happened.
Thanks again @LLBBC for the precise reports.
