Blender Error Which version of Conversion Tools to use

#1 Post by Turd Ferguson » 07 Jun 2026 13:12

Can someone offer any advice on the Conversions tools version I should be using please?
I'm trying to fix the right hand drive mirrors on the updated Daf 95 ATI

A few years ago I was able to complete this fix for the Daf F241 and the 95 following Digital X's tutorial,
now no matter what I do I get the "Can't run conversion tools or there were errors converting".

I'm using the following,
Blender version 3.6.23
Converter Pix Wrapper 2.3
SCS tools 2.4
Conversion tools I've tried 2.13, 2.20 and 2.21

I'm able import it without errors however once I make the changes and export I get the error above.

Can some advise what versions I should be using please?
Screenshots from Blender below.

Thanks

is your conversion tools path set correctly? I'm using exactly the same versions as above and no issues exporting mirrors on my own trucks nor any other mods. Make sure you point to the folder like so:

That's correct, but you don't need the .zip inside, just the files and folders.

Edit: click the "clean" button prior to exporting. Do the export first and see if that works, then do the packing after.

If you get an error log, post that via pastebin or screenshots.

Ahh maybe it's the .zip preventing it, i'll remove that ad try again,

i've been using clean but will give another go and post the log if it falls over again

Failed again,
the log is too big for Pastebin so here's a couple of screenshots

That invalid filename is a bit unusual, "invalid filename should end with .pit"

So you can import the mirrors fine, but exporting them straight after gives you errors?

I have the 95ati from XBS I'll edit this post after I tried just importing then exporting. I see you also have map related models in there too, hopefully not in the same folder because your export process is going to be very long.

Edit: I imported then exported the same mirror_int without problems, I'm not sure what's going on with your file names, are you importing directly from the daf 95 ati scs file?

Ahh I wonder if that's it. I've got my base path set in the parent folder where my tools and base.scs files are. I'm also importing the Daf 95 ati from within the same folder structure.

I'll change my base path to a folder on my Desktop and import from my mod folder instead.

Aye that was the issue @Digital X

I created a working folder on my desktop, imported the mod from my mod folder and it packed in about 4 seconds.

I've now got a working set of RHD mirrors for the Daf 95. Thank you so much for your advice with this issue. I've been trying for about a week to get it to work.

I was getting several errors importing the other 2 mirrors and the kerb mirror but adding the vehicle, share & def to extra archives along with the base solved them.

thank you so much for all your help with this issue.
