[WIP] Gavril T/TC-Series

#1 Post by JoeAlex23 » 15 Aug 2026 16:14

Anyone who is familiar with Beam.NG Drive knows these two trucks quite well, i know some people aren't a fan of fake/made up vehicles but i do really like the design of these trucks, specially the Cabover.

The T-Series (long hood) is loosely based on an International 9370

And the TC-Series (cabover) is based on a mix of a few 1970's trucks from Freightliner, Peterbilt and Kenworth.

I can't promise a release date right now as i will only be able to work on this on my free time over the weekends and i still have a lot of things to learn as i focus on porting this truck into the game, so have some patience, i'm trying my best over here, but i will try to post updates as often as i can.

Now some pictures, first i'm focusing on the conventional as i learn how things work in the game and blender, i will focus on the Cabover later after i have this one in the game, and i'm already using the new improved interior materials.

Next update will hopefully be the truck in the game with all the texture, technically i already have it in the game as a full standalone mod, just as a basic cab and chassis with no textures, but i'm not showing that.

Fantastic idea, reminds me of those old times when 18 WoS games (and early ETS) had fictional truck models to drive :D

But this time it's in brand new modern shape... Shouldn't really harm - vanilla depots and traffic cars are already fictional, so - why not to drive one yourself?..

I'm so impressed that I guess I'm willing to take one for a spin the day it's out - especially the daycab cabover thing - already one of my favourite types for sure!

Very nice.
Anyone who's into trucks and knows BeamNG gotta love the T and TC models from Gavril.

it kind of reminds of this person i saw some time ago who tried to put a truck from GTA into ATS.
I loved the idea, but unfortunately, that seemingly never got anywhere.
Hopefully this one goes better 👍

Glad to see some interest on this project, sadly, the next progress update comes with a bit of sad news, my main laptop died, fried motherboard, now i'm stuck with an "office spec" laptop that can barely run the game, but i'm decided to keep working on this truck, thankfully i didn't lose any files related to this truck, now progress might be slower but i'm not giving up, i'm finishing this truck.

Good news is, the truck is in the game, i'm still adjusting some materials and now i'm focusing on learning how to work with animations, it is frustrating but also kinda fun.

And sorry for the pictures quality, that's the best i can do right now.

So in the end you took the idea I've once brought up to have SCS reach out to BeamNG devs and to have them do a collab. I like this :D

Well, after what you said that time, i started looking into the 3D model of the truck and once i figured out how easy it was taking it from BeamNG and it didn't need to do any major changes to put it into ATS (even the scale of the model was spot on), i decided to take it as a personal challenge and it is going a lot better than i thought, so in away it is YOUR fault i'm making this mod, so thank you!

Next update, the basic truck is about 90% done, i just finished doing all the interior animations, it was a good learning curve, even figured out how to animate the analogue tachometer.

Now i can start adding more parts and then start working on the Cabover.
