You will have to give us more than that.

Game logs is a good start, paste the contents of your "My Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\Game.log.txt" file here.
Provide your system specs, Motherboard, CPU, Memory, Graphics card.

And now for some problem specific possibilities.

* Do you have a proper power supply unit? This is in correlation to your system specs but my idea is that your USB is getting too little power to run your wheel. But then again, the issue would happen in other titles as well most likely.

* Have you installed the proper drivers for your components? Including your Motherboard, Graphics card and wheel?

* Does this problem occur in other titles? (Even slightly?)

* Do you have any other controllers that you can try? Any controller would suffice, joystick, gamepad (XBOX gamepads work well on PC) etc etc? Does the problem persist with those?

I have yet to hear of similar issues myself so i am baffled and am merely going at what i can come up with as possible causes.
So that said, you really need to tell us more here.

My system specs:
I am using Vaio F21z1e. (http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Son ... 940.0.html)
Intel i7 2630qm, 8 gb Ram, Nvidia 540M.

* I think i have proper supply unit because this is laptop and there is no warning or no other problem.
* My wheel work with F1 2012 game very well, there is no fps problem.
* I tried it with my gamepad to play ETS 2, also there is no problem with it.
* All my drivers are OK.
* I use my wheel with City Driving game, it has fps problem but i think it is about game because it always has (even without wheel controller).

And here is my game log:

Try updating your game to the latest official version and see if it helps.

Sorry i must have missed this one.

One thing, next time post your game log as text in your post instead of attaching it as a download on a random file sharing site.

This line from your game log makes me wonder if you have the proper drivers installed for your wheel.

Code: Select all

[di8] Initializing device 'Generic USB Joystick ' as '{2864C390-FA31-11E2-8001-444553540000}|{00060079-0000-0000-0000-504944564944}'
This is what it should look like (but of course i have many more devices connected than you do)

Code: Select all

[di8] Initializing device 'Logitech G27 Racing Wheel USB' as '{24299F10-696F-11E2-8002-444553540000}|{C29B046D-0000-0000-0000-504944564944}'
[di8] Initializing device 'Logitech G940 Joystick' as '{49982740-6973-11E2-8004-444553540000}|{C2A8046D-0000-0000-0000-504944564944}'
[di8] Initializing device 'Logitech G940 Throttle' as '{49B1F0D0-6973-11E2-8005-444553540000}|{C2A9046D-0000-0000-0000-504944564944}'
[di8] Initializing device 'Saitek X52 Flight Control System' as '{4ABB85F0-57CA-11E2-8001-444553540000}|{025506A3-0000-0000-0000-504944564944}'
[di8] Initializing device 'XBOX360 GAMEPAD (Controller)' as '{8ACC2290-D76C-11E2-8001-444553540000}|{FD001689-0000-0000-0000-504944564944}'
If the joystick isn't reported correctly to the game then the game can run into exceptions or invalid calls that it has to correct for over and over again which could drop your FPS.

And as Unco said, make sure you update your game. You are running an outdated (and unsupported) version of the game, make sure your steam client auto updates your game.

You definitely need to install the Logitech Gaming Software to get the proper drivers installed. Windows will just install generic drivers like you have now.

Well see that's the thing. Always provide game logs when the problem in question occurs. It doesn't help us if you provide a game log where things are working well (with the gamepad connected)
Glad it worked out for you, merely saying this for others to take note when they run into issues.
