Anyone got tips on how to switch between normal branch and oculus branch? It seems whenver I switch between them, any VR/Oculus settings in Config files are removed. And when I switch back to Oculus branch, the default settings are returned (and not the changed config I had before).

TruckersMP doesn't support the Oculus branch because of a different exe file it seems.

Make a backup from the config file before changing. I'm a fan of backups since an update had reset my config file^^.

So I recently upgraded my primary monitor from a 1080p to a 1440p, and the 1080p is now the secondary. Whenever I start ETS2 in VR/Oculus mode, the game launches on the (new) monitor, but at 1080p (despite in-game UI showing 1440p as the selected resolution). Not a huge deal except whenever I exit the game, I need to resize all the windows I had minimized on the primary monitor. Anyone else experience this?

I just wanted to say thank you for the opportunity to experience the ETS2 in VR, the Game I've been playing since day one.
I'm playing the Ouest 2 via Oculus link and have a mid-range PC but I'm always amazed how good the game looks and how incredibly well it performs in VR.

The immerson is simply outstanding and the possibility to use Mods in VR mode takes the game to a whole new level.

It's really a mystery to me why the VR mode isn't officially in the game yet, especially now that the VR market is so growing.

So many thanks to the developers and have a safe trip!

As soon as I wrote my post and praised Ets2, the ETS2 in VR no longer works for me....

I've been playing in VR for almost a year now and today in the middle of the game I couldn't access the menu (map, save/load) in the ETS.
I was able to continue driving normally, only when I pressed ESC the Oculus egg timer appeared and nothing else happened.
If you pressed ESC again you were back in the cockpit.

So I thought I'd restart the game and since then I can't get into VR mode anymore.
In Oculus Home it shows that the game is loading but nothing happens in the VR headset. However, the game is loaded in the background on the monitor and also works in normal mode.
I didn't change any settings and until just now I was still playing in VR mode as usual.

What can I do to start the ETS2 in VR mode again?

Did you press F11 accidentially? => Switches between "flat monitor gaming" and VR, although driving is still and always shown in the headset. But the menus may go the monitor - would fit to the behaviour described.

Krists wrote: 09 Aug 2022 15:25 I might need your help - I installed openXR and followed all instructions, I disabled HAGS, turned on INS and FRR in openXR, it skips the SteamVR, but somehow I still get 65/75 FPS.
It also seems like there's a lot of reprojection as I feel significant stuttering when turning in corners or in junctions.

As I mentioned before, I'm using Reverb G2 with 3164x3096 per eye resolution (it was even higher than current via steamVR supersampling in my April/May tests which also seemed smoother), I'm using 3080TI, 5800x3D CPU and 2x16GB 3600MHZ CL14 RAM.

For me OpenXR works on other games as it significantly improved Dirt 2.0 and Elite Dangerous performance, however I don't seem to have any significant gains on ATS/ETS2...

Also - is there a way how to qualitatively measure the performance as without SteamVR I am not able to use fpsVR?
So I tried many different graphics settings and none of them worked...until I enabled "Motion Reprojection" in OpenXR.
It seems that it locks the FPS at 45 (in OpenXR overlay) with my setup, but honestly I dont feel it being low, as long as it is stable, hence FINALLY the graphics seem very smooth, no matter the city, daytime, weather or traffic - no more stuttering that was making the game unplayable.
Hopefully no more tinkering until further updates :D

Check Windows display settings, you want each monitor to function independently, so change the Multiple Displays setting to "Extend"
