Re: How old are you?
@adrian007Nothing to be ashamed of:) I would personally much rather sit down and play a good game, than watch boring mind numbing crap on tv
Deer Drive isn't that old... I still play Mega Drive, and NES games...Childhood memories
But no, I wasn't just refering to pc games, games in general on console, and PC. I mostly play on Xbox 360 because my PC is useless... just about manages ETS2.

But I feel its madness to pay £40 ($90aus) for a game on a old generation console, it will plummet in no time. Also with that, I'll probably wait until I get a better game machine (console or PC) Not decided yet. Probably PC though

Re: How old are you?
@big bad onion ,Thanks for those kind words Yeah I do agree there's absolute crap on the idiot box these days there are some exceptions like re runs of yes minister / prime minister and some of the docos my major peeve is bloody ads don't know if it's just as bad in the UK but here it's getting to be like the states where they interrupt the ads for the program
.
Enough ranting
on XBOX I really enjoyed playing Tomb Raider have played from go to whoa got to admit it was very well done , I suppose when they brought out Underworld it really upped the game dynamics the characters were better v/o a little better but the Quick Time was a bit confusing at times .
Couldn't really get into LA Noire suppose the acting was a bit too wooden and a naff storyline , I really enjoy the Hidden Object Games on the pc at this moment am playing Mystery Case Files I find these give me something to use my brain on don't now how familiar you are with these some of them are really good especially some of the storylines where the developer has taken some of the children's stories and given them a darker version these games I get through Big Fish Games .
well that's enough ranting from me
See you later
Adrian

Re: How old are you?
Yeah TV here is awful too, no ones made anything worth watching properly for about 10 years. Its all either some jumped up little.... shouting at the scum of the earth, talent shows, reruns of old comedies (which was good at first but after the 100th time....) and them god awful soaps constantly interrupted by ads
I've always liked tomb raider, Underworld was the best one in my opinion. The last one, while the character development was good, I think they took out a lot of what made Tomb Raider great. Very little exploration, and almost no puzzles.
I could never get in to LA Noire either, for the exact same reasons you said. I think I went in to it expecting it to be GTA from the other side (it was partly made by Rockstar after all) I've always really liked the GTA games, they get all this slack and controversey, and as far as I can see its just a silly, good time. Backed up by a good story, and funny characters.
I play quite a lot of indie games, Such as Hoard, where you play as a dragon, and burn villages and kidnap princesses
Thomas was alone I enjoyed a lot too,it was like a very basic looking, but actually very humorus, well narated puzzle game, where you basically have to get these blocks, who all have differences and abilities to the end of the levels, definitely a surprising one, and one to try. Portal 2 (while not an indie game) is another one I really liked, although it got irritating at times

Re: How old are you?
I forgot to mention that I was really disappointed with Forza Horizon must be my age
I just found it boring might have been the "music" as well which got really repetitive and highly DLC driven to the extent that you couldn't accomplish the majority of achievements without the respective add on i.e. you had to have all the cars in the respective brand Ford, Aston Martin etc. also forgot I'm also giving AC3 another outing which is pretty good got to admit though AC2 wasn't too shabby either .
My real favourite has got to be Red Dead Redemption with the really strange / disturbing mission storylines . It did have a good main story OK the voice over was a bit over the top but it also enjoyable in the fact that you could go wherever and do whatever you wanted to without the constraints of the main storyline .
Regards

31 going on 19.
If age was measured in weight I'd still be 8 years old.

Re: How old are you?
We have some good shows on TV. But I'm a big movie nut, and for way longer than 10 years Hollywood has been in the habit of making mostly bad remakes. There's very few original movies now days. But I suppose that's a good thing. I have over 1,200 DVD's (that's titles, many of which have multiple disks) as it is... Can you imagine if they were turning out good movies all the time? We probably wouldn't have any place to put anything in our house. The downside to "broadcast TV" for me is that we have to have cable to get anything here, which costs $100.00 a month, we hardly ever watch it, but the Boss (you know, she who must be obeyed) won't let me cancel it.thebigbadonion wrote:Yeah TV here is awful too, no ones made anything worth watching properly for about 10 years.
I've only got two years left in the second to the last option, but there ain't nothing wrong with that last option either. It shows ya got some 'sperience!Reece wrote:Yes I'm an old fart, I had to select the last option!!!!![]()
If you think that's bad, my son is 35 going on 14. We tell him he'll be 13 forever.murdoch82 wrote:31 going on 19.

Anyway my name is Cristi i am from Dracula`s Lair aka Romania - Bucuresti and i have 33 springs (years lol).

Nice to meet you all btw.
