Mexico is more feasible than Hawaii but even still, nothing free in Mexico. We couldn't even get US-12 to Lolo to help with Salmon with Idaho. So I don't think we get freebies from a state that is not one that is already in the game. Mexico and Hawaii are new paid dlc territories.

Now if SCS secretly hired another map team, it would be good to go across boarders or beyond the boarders. Surprise to me is still additional content for the base map. I wouldn't even be surprised if its I-80 fast tracked because it really needs to be fast tracked. SCS never said they will complete California first anyways. They only said they'd start there.

I think Hawaii is extremely unlikely. Moving from mainland US to Hawaii with a truck is unrealistic, the scale of the islands would need to be completely different, and I'm guessing they use rigid trucks on Hawaii instead of semi trucks.

Mexico, I'll have to see it before I believe it. :)
And there being a map mod that was made by actual Mexicans, the DLC quality would definitely need to be incredible if they don't want people to pick it apart.

Agreed on the Mexico detail. That's asking for too much right now when so much is missing from the US in ATS as is. That's why I say whatever it is, its related to the base map. After all, the quote was made on the rebuild blog so I'm really puzzled why so many people are thinking outside the base map. Hawaii, Mexico, and everything else is a new blog....not the base map rebuild blog. I'll follow may own instinct here. You guys keep at it. If you all think Hawaii/Mexico, there's no harm there. But be ready for reality to hit once it is revealed.

I'll say it again, nowhere was it said to be part of the base map. It's probably something unrelated

I hope they stay focused on the US. Promods will take care of Canada; Reforma will take care of Mexico. No one seems to be doing the Midwest or Northeast to any level of quality (minus Matt's work in Michigan).

That's where we need SCS's talent the most.

Did I say it said base map, no I didn't. I gave my opinion just like you all gave yours for being Hawaii/Mexico. So I'll say it again, I think it related to the base map. Doesn't mean I'm right or wrong at this point, its an opinion.

If SCS would add both Baja California and Baja California Sur, to the base map, that could make sense.
If speaking about Mexican states.

And the phase 3 + screenshots?
Yeah, I think too, as oldmanclippy, that some might be on the east side of Sierra Nevada mountains.

You're right.

I'm sorry if I came off a little harsh. Haven't been in a good mood the past couple days. Need to work on that, probably offline.

The only way Hawaii makes it into the game is as a local delivery driver in a 1:1 scale Oahu, which would essentially be its own separate game. Not only are there no ferries from Hawaii to the mainland, there are no ferries in between islands either.

Haha, then you can combine it with 2012’s Microsoft Flight which was located at Hawaii too. Like it, I think a Hawaii trucksim wouldn’t prosper. Hawaii is ruled out if you ask me.
