Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
I see International Transtar in the list, then I realize if it was to be added by SCS it would be the worse American variant, Australia variant far superior

It depends, the Transtar II cabover would be amazing.
If I could have any truck though, then my vote would go for the Ford CLT9000, LT9000, or L9000 Aeromax.

The smallest details always make the biggest difference.

Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
If scs brings all the trucks from the 18-wheel truck series to America Truck Simulator, I believe it will attract more players to buy America Truck Simulator
Hopefully in the future America Truck Simulator will add these trucks: Freightliner 122SD/Century/Columbia/FLD/Cascadia/Coronado, Kenworth T800/T880/W990,Volvo VNX740, International HX520/ ProStar, and MACK Pinnacle, MACK Titan.
Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
I agree that it will be more attractive. 1) SCS has to want to build this or that model. I'd like to know how and why they pick this model over that model and 2) they have to be granted the license for (x) truck. If SCS does not ask/request for whatever, they will not bring it to the game.
People assume its all on the manufacturer. Its not. Its on SCS first. Either they want to go after a model and pay the price, or they pick something else. There are several other games can get models that people think are ATS worth, that is money working for you. Sure a manufacturer can approach SCS for (x) model, but they have no clue what SCS wants to do with their own game. It starts with SCS. Then it trickles down from there. Money, bandwidth, desire, demand. All apply.

My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

If SCS adds the International TranStar, this is the one that I would hope for.
(I don't know why everyone hates this version of the truck. )

It's hideous, and also the only truck I've ever driven irl lol.supersobes wrote: ↑01 Apr 2022 20:26 If SCS adds the International TranStar, this is the one that I would hope for.

But without an LTL system in game, it would kinda be pointless.
Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
As far as setup, the 4x2 with a pup, I agree that LTL is the way to go. Buttt we can also get parodies for UDS or Posted. I already requested when 1.40 release to change all the pup doubles to 4x2's. I don't think SCS will do it...mainly because I am sure they didn't see the request or don't see a need to change it. But its what we'd actually see here in the US. I don't think I've ever noticed pup doubles with a 6x2 or 6x4. I say that and then someone could post pics of it, lol. I just don't recall it. I understand at the time, that is all we had but now we have 4x2 and for immersion purposes, the AI pup doubles should have 4x2 day cabs.
That setup in the pic above is what I learned on myself. We had individual docking bays at that so even tougher. When I changed jobs, it was to 6x2 with 48' trailers on open dock bays. Much easier but no challenge to reverse. Glad I learned on pups.

I think it just depends. Most of the terminal to terminal guys hauling doubles seem to be twin screws. But the triples guys are often single screw.flight50 wrote: ↑01 Apr 2022 22:00 As far as setup, the 4x2 with a pup, I agree that LTL is the way to go. In game, it would be nice to have a mix (and have terminals/breakable trailer sets).

Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
I would love to see classic trucks from the 1950's to 2000's. There are a lot of cool and beautifully designed trucks from these years. Some like the Ford LTL 9000, the Chevrolet Bison, the Dodge BigHorn and the GMC General come to mind.
My question is whether it would be difficult for SCS to obtain the license for truck models of brands that no longer manufacture trucks today. But if other games like Mudrunner have achieved it, then who knows. It would be great to be able to see and drive some of these wonderful trucks in the game.
