Entering/Exiting town message
I believe it would be a nice touch that every time the player revisits a city/town they have discovered, they would receive a message on their screen (either on their route advisor or as a large pop-up like when discovering a city) saying "Now entering [CITY NAME]", and upon leaving the town the player would receive a message saying "Now leaving [CITY NAME]. Drive safe!" Of course the player can deactivate this in the options menu if they get tired of it

I would love to as optional.

What ^ he said. Fine with me so long as it's optional.

Personally I'd find it annoying, but as long as I can turn it off...
Never argue with idiots. They bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.

EDIT: Poll has been updated with more choices
Re: Entering/Exiting town message
Even though you have those signs by the side of the road telling you when you are entering and leaving the city?

Yes, because having these notifications come up addressing the player directly can make the player feel that the game just wants to tell them something useful. Also, when exiting a city/town, the line "Drive safe!" can be seen as a kind reminder, almost as if the game is wishing you the best of luck on your deliveries. And like I said, this can be turned off in the options menu so you don't have to see these notifications if you do not want to
