Not sure if this has been linked here or not... ETS2 is about to get a rival in the form of Aerosoft-published "On the Road."
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSckbnlJySg

Looking decidedly low-budget and "game" as opposed to "sim," but I suppose any competition is always good. Once again, seems they have MAN as their only licensed vehicle brand...

The video also mentions road trains and tandems coming in the future. Looks like they're basically offering a watered-down ETS2 with a few cherrypicked extras based on the biggest fan requests here.

I bet not many of you (and certainly no one from SCS) know that St Patrick is actually a Welshman!

his birth place has nothing to do with the activities he has done in Ireland hence why they celebrate it in Ireland and not Wales

On the road: Towards ever more flat shading and hardly any innovation.

I feel for this game the same i feel for Fernbus and that's not much since there will be even less cities, less roads mileage then Fernbus has.

But let's see how and when they will improve, competition is what make things happens faster in the world.

Competition should do good for ETS2 and ATS, especially when these games suffer for significant innovations and TRULY new stuff. What we get is only modifications and improvements of present features, that is why so many people moan and whine, including me. Last TRULY new and fresh thing for ETS2 was Cabin Accessories with physics, so looking forward to test On The Road game.

Point is , it is not competition...

That mobilesque game can compete with ETS1 may be at best...

However, MAN TGX Euro 6 is there, why not here :D
